Grate lifter

An ingenious tool designed specifically for lifting hinged grates used over sidewalk transformer vaults and subway access.

This tool has a foldaway hook which engages with the grate and allows one person to pull open the grate without bending over or lifting. Hook folds into the handle for storage.
