Outside Sales Representative

Role Description

Our growing business is in an urgent need of an Outside Sales Representative to increase sales in Ontario. The successful candidate will be responsible for establishing contact with existing customers, prospecting for new customers, identifying new opportunities and following up on potential leads. If you have prior experience in the Utility Industry as an outside sales person and a desire to expand your career, we want to hear from you. The Outside Sales Representative is responsible for entering Sales Orders and associated activities in the company’s system while supporting the Sales team. Integrity, attention to detail and team work are key components of this position.

Responsibilities

• Add items not in stock to Purchase orders
• Verify product pricing and accuracy of orders
• Address client inquiries regarding Products and Sales related issues
• Attend industry trade shows and other events even possibly on some weekends to accumulate new leads and make productive contact with existing clients
• Monitor emails for prompt follow up with customers and vendors
• Work closely with the Sales Admin who supports the Sales Team
• Work as a team with other Sales Team members to guarantee exceptional service to customers

Qualification / Skills

• Strong team player with excellent interpersonal skills and also able to work independently
• Exceptional customer service skills and able to build and maintain lasting relationships with customers and vendors
• 2-3 years experience in a similar role servicing the Utility industry
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Knowledge of MS Windows and MS Office
• Previous experience with QuickBooks or other Order Management systems
• Excellent organizational skills
• Enjoys working in a fast-paced environment
